I have worked in the creative industry for more than 27 years and learned the hard way how difficult it can be to transition from employment to my own company, with all the ups and downs that came with it. Just because we might create amazing artistic work or are really good with marketing (which most would say they are not) it does not necessarily lead to sales, and definitely not to a sustainable income long term. Add the constant stress of not knowing when the next income will show up or from where. And the constant need to be a jack-of-all-trades doing everything in the business before we can hire a team. Now that the digital transformation is so fast, we also have to keep up with current trends to not be left behind. It's a lot to take in.
